The oldest national park, Jim Corbett National Park, is located in Uttarakhand’s Nainital district amid the foothills of the Himalayas. Corbett National Park, which is a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, is famous for sheltering the critically endangered Bengal tiger.

Jim Corbett National Park is well-known for its wildlife safaris and features a number of riverbank resorts. It is a sanctuary for bird enthusiasts, with more than 650 species of rare and migratory birds calling it home. The main draw of Corbett National Park is Dhikala, a forest lodge renowned for its breathtaking setting and abundant wildlife that is situated on the edge of Patil Dun Valley.

Only 180 vehicles are allowed to enter the national park in a day. Jim Corbett National Park remains closed from July to October during the monsoons. However, Jhirna, Dhela, and Sitabani tourism zones remain open for tourists throughout the year. Safaris are organized in all the zones by two shifts by the forest officials in all the zones.
